A HOUSING PARTERNSHIP

The Island Housing Trust is a partnership between the six island towns, the Dukes County Regional Housing authority, member homeowners, and community members; each of whom are represented on the board of directors. The organization's by-laws PDF describes the purpose, authority, and composition of the board of directors and its officers. The 2012 board meeting schedule PDF provides the date, time, and location of monthly board meetings that are open to the general public.
A conflict of interest and disclosure policy PDF has been adopted by the board to identify and provide procedures for the organization when disclosing and dealing with potential conflict of interest situations.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS:

Richard Leonard, chair - the COO/EVP of the Martha’s Vineyard Savings Bank, has lived on the island all his life, and serves on the board as a community-at-large representative.

Paul Moreau, treasurer - works as a paralegal for a local law firm, serves on the board as a homeowner/ lessee representative, and lives in Town of Edgartown.

Victoria Haeselbarth, clerk - a graduate student, serves on the board as a homeowner/ lessee representative, and lives in the Town of Edgartown.

Richard Bluestein– co-founder of a Boston law firm of Krokidas and Bluestein, serves on the board as a community-at-large representative, and is a seasonal resident.

Matt Coffey - works as an architect for South Mountain Company, serves on the board as a homeowner/ lessee representative, and lives in the Town of West Tisbury.

Marie Doubleday – works as a social worker, serves on the board as the representative of the of the Town of Oak Bluff where she serves on the town's Affordable Housing Committee.

Janet Health –- works for the non-profit Historic Preservation Trust, serves on the board as a homeowner/ lessee representative, and lives in the Town of Edgartown.

Tristan Israel - an owner of a landscaping company, an island resident, and the board representative of the Town of Tisbury where he serves on the Board of Selectmen.

Wayne Johnson- an island resident, former real estate banking professional, who serves as a community-at-large representative.

Richard Knabel – an island resident, and the board representative of the of the Town of West Tisbury where he serves on the Board of Seletmen.

Darran Reubens – an island resident, works as an architect for Terrain Associate, and serves on the board as a community-at-large representative.

Doug Ruskin – an island resident, owns a software consulting business, and serves on the board as a community-at-large representative.

Wendy Swolinzky – owner of a boat rental business, serves on the board as a homeowner/ lessee representative, and lives in the Town of Aquinnah.

Durwood Vanderhoop – works for the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah) as the tribal planner, and serves on the board as the representative for the Town of Aquinnah.

STAFF

Philippe Jordi, executive director – has worked for the past sixteen years as a developer and manager of affordable housing for the Island Housing Trust and the Dukes County Regional Housing Authority, and as a community development planner for the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah).
